THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF BURLINGTON
BY-LAW NUMBER 111-1993

A By-law to amend Public Parks By-law
Number 35-1976 with respect to prohibiting dogs on
public beaches and to repeal By-law 74-1993.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of
the City of Burlington enacted By-law 35-1976 on May 25, 1976,
being a by-law to regulate the public parks in the City of
Burlington;
AND WHEREAS several amendments have been
made to By-law 35-1976 and it has been deemed necessary to
further amend the by-law with regard to prohibiting dogs on
public beaches;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION
OF THE CITY OF BURLINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT Paragraph 4(b) of By-law 35-1976
be amended by adding the following Subsection:

"Dogs are prohibited on City
owned or operated beaches or in the water in front of
City owned or operated beaches."

2. THAT Paragraph 11 of By-law
35-1976 be amended by inserting "Municipal By-law Enforcement
Officers" after "park police".
3. THAT By-law Number 74-1993 is hereby
repealed.
4. THAT in all other respects, By-law
35-1976, as amended, be and is hereby confirmed.
