THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF BURLINGTON

BY-LAW NO. 40-2009

A by-law to amend By-law Number 28-2009, being a by-law to prescribe standards for the maintenance and occupancy of properties in the City of Burlington.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Burlington enacted By-law Number 28-2009 to prescribe standards for maintenance and occupancy of properties in the City of Burlington;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Burlington deems it appropriate from time to time to amend By-law Number 28-2009;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the City of Burlington hereby enacts as follows:

1. Part 1.2 Definitions be amended by replacing the definition of “Officer” with the following:

“Officer” means a duly appointed Municipal Law Enforcement Officer assigned the responsibility of enforcing the Property Standards By-law. An Officer may also be referred to as a Property Standards Officer for the purposes of this by-law.

2. That By-law Number 54-2006 is hereby repealed.

3. That By-law Number 28-2009, as amended, is hereby confirmed.
