South Service Road Renewal

The City of Burlington will be installing roadway, sidewalk, and streetlighting improvements on the South Service Road between Harvester Road and Century Drive.  This will include full depth asphalt replacement, concrete sidewalk installation, local storm drainage repair, and streetlighting upgrades on the limits shown per the map below.

Online Public Information Centre

Due to the ongoing Public Health Emergency related to COVID-19, an online Public Information Centre (PIC) will be available to the public to provide input on this project.

The purpose of this PIC is to provide a general project overview and answer questions regarding general scope, schedule, and impact. Please review the PIC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to be included in the “Document, Reports, Update” section below.

Traffic Signals Installations

The City of Burlington will be improving Traffic Signals, Street lighting, asphalt and concrete sidewalks at three intersections on roadways in an occupied environment (vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, etc.) at the below locations:

1. James Street and Pearl Street Intersection
2. Lakeshore Road and Brookfield Avenue
3. Lakeshore Road and White Pines Drive

Appleby Line Retaining Wall

The City of Burlington will be replacing a existing precast block retaining wall located along the west side of Appleby line, approximately 65m south of spruce avenue.  The construction is scheduled to begin end of July, 2022 with completion anticipated for September 2022 by Oakridge Group Inc.
