Road Closures and Restrictions

Road Closures - CIBC Run for the Cure, Oct. 2, 2022

The annual Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, Oct. 2, will result in road and lane closures in Burlington. Streets will reopen following the completion of the event. Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access.

Road Closures – 10 a.m. to noon

• Seneca Avenue from Lakeshore Road to New Street
• Pine Cove Road from Lakeshore Road to New Street
• New Street from Drury Lane to Guelph Line

Lane Closures – 10 a.m. to noon

Lakeshore Road from Seneca Avenue to Pine Cove Road westbound and centre lane closed. The eastbound lane will be kept open for traffic with no left turns along the event route. Access to and from roads intersecting the event route will be unavailable. New Street from Guelph Line to Pine Cove Road, eastbound lane closed. The westbound lane will be kept open for traffic with no left turns along the event route.

Resident Access

Residents can get access to their driveways to cross the event route by contacting the event...

South Service Road closure, Oct. 3 and 6

The South Service Road (near Appleby Line) between Harvester Road and Century Drive will be temporarily closed for night paving for the following dates:

• Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 starting at 7 p.m. and will re-open the following morning at 6 a.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 starting at 7 p.m. and will re-open the following morning at 6 a.m.

Vehicle access will be affected within the South Service Road corridor during this time and will need to be detoured around this road section.

Road Closure - Rockwood Drive

Rockwood Drive from Thornwood Avenue to Chestnut Place will be closed Sept. 19 to Sept. 21 for bridge repair work. A detour will be in place and local access will be maintained on both sides of the bridge.

South Service Road closure Sept. 12, 13

The South Service Road (near Appleby Line) between Harvester Road and Century Drive will be temporarily closed for night paving for the following dates:

• Monday, Sept. 12, 2022 starting at 7 p.m. and will re-open the following morning at 6 a.m.
• Tuesday Sept. 13, 2022 starting at 7 p.m. and will re-open the following morning at 6 a.m.

Vehicle access will be affected within the South Service Road corridor during this time and will need to be detoured around this road section.

Wicklow Road and Limeric Road intersection closure

The intersection of Wicklow Road and Limerick Road will be closed for water infrastructure work from 7 a.m. Sept. 8 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 9.
