New Street from Burloak Drive to Walkers Line will undergo asphalt milling and paving from Oct. 5 to mid-November 2020. There will be lane restrictions in place - expect significant delays.

Road closure - Belvenia Road, Sept. 30, 2020

Belvenia Road between New Street and Spruce Avenue will be closed on

Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

for crane activity. Local access will be maintained and through traffic will be detoured using New Street, Strathcona Road and Spruce Avenue.

Road Closures - short term rolling through Burlington from Oakville to Hamilton Sept. 28 overnight

Please be advised that there will be short duration rolling road closures in Burlington from Monday September 28, 2020 at 10 p.m. to Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 5 a.m.

These rolling closures are for a Superload Project move from the Town of Oakville to the Port of Hamilton. There are seven loads moving in convoy with support vehicles including utility trucks and police escorts.

The following roads will see temporary road closures on the night of the move to ensure a safe passage of the convoy, please refer to the attached map:

Michigan Dr – road closed on both directions from 10:00pm to midnight
Intersection of Burloak Dr & Great Lakes Blvd / Michigan Drive – road closure in all directions from 10:30pm to midnight
Burloak Drive between Great Lakes Blvd and North Service Road – northbound direction lanes closed from 10:30pm to midnight. Traffic will use the remaining lanes.

Road Closure: Teen Tour Way closed Sept. 15 to Sept. 16.

Teen Tour Way will be closed for road work from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020.

Access to Burlington Central Library, the Burlington Music Centre and the Burlington Seniors Centre will be available from Drury Lane.

Road Closure - New Street at Appleby Line, Aug. 29-31

NOTICE OF PLANNED ROAD CLOSURE – NEW STREET AT APPLEBY LINE

The asphalt within the intersection of New Street at Appleby Line requires removal and replacement. In order to complete this work, a closure (all four directions) of the intersection is required.

This work is to be completed from Saturday, Aug. 29 beginning at 7 a.m. to Monday, Aug. 31, 6 a.m. Work will continue overnight and during the day until complete.

Appleby Line will be closed from Spruce Avenue to Longmoor Drive/Pinedale Avenue. New Street will be closed from Longmoor Drive to Timber Lane.

A detour will be in place for trucks and transit.

Access to your Businesses and Residences

Vehicle and pedestrian access to and from businesses and residences will be maintained. The closure points on Appleby Line and New Street will provide access to local residences and businesses.
