Road Closures and Restrictions

CIBC Run for the Cure Road Closure for Oct. 6, 2019

The 23rd annual Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, will result in road and lane closures in Burlington. Streets will reopen as soon as possible following the completion of the event. Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access.

Road Closures: 10 a.m. to noon

• Seneca Avenue from Lakeshore Road to New Street
• Pine Cove Road from Lakeshore Road to New Street
• New Street from Drury Lane to Pine Cove Road
• Guelph Line at Lakeshore Road and at New Street

Traffic Lane Closures:10 a.m. to noon

• Lakeshore Road from Seneca Avenue to Pine Cove Road westbound and centre lane closed. The eastbound lane will be kept open for traffic with no left turns along the event route.
• Access to and from roads intersecting the event route will be unavailable.

Appleby Line Street Festival Road Closure, Sept. 29

The 8th annual Appleby Line Street Festival is taking place on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019 from 1 to 5 p.m. in partnership with The Amazing Bed Race. The event requires the following road closures. Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access.

Road closures:

Appleby Line, between New Street and Fairview Street, will be closed to traffic between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Traffic lane closures:

All other streets in the area will remain open.

Parking restrictions posted:

• Do not park in restricted areas.
• See parking rules at each pay machine.

Resident access:

Emergency Services access will be maintained at all times in the event area.

Supervision:

• Road closures will be managed under the supervision of the Halton Regional Police Service.
• Event notices were delivered to all residences, religious centres and businesses affected by the festival.
