The 7th annual Epic Tour GranFondo cycling event is travelling through north Burlington on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, from 7 to 11:30 a.m.
To meet the needs of the ride, there will be traffic restrictions. Streets will reopen as soon as possible following the safe passage of cyclists.
Lane Closure
Britannia Road westbound, between Tremaine Road and Milburough Line.
Traffic Lane Restrictions
Cyclists will travel in the dedicated lane while traffic will be allowed one-way in the opposite direction.
Resident Access
Residents living along the route can exit their driveway during the gaps between riders. If you need help to get in or out of a driveway during the event, call 905-626-4468 and an event vehicle will be sent to escort you. NOTE: Travel will only be allowed in the opposite direction of the cyclists; one-way traffic only.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Ontario Street from Maple Avenue to Brock Avenue will be closed to local traffic on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for paving.
Ontario Street will be temporarily closed when traffic cannot go past paving equipment.

No. 4 Side Road will be closed between Appleby Line and Walkers Line
Location: Near 4391 No. 4 Side Rd.
Date: Aug. 12 – 23, 2019
Type: Full road closure
Purpose: Removal and replacement of deteriorated road-crossing culverts near 4391 No. 4 Side Rd.
Detour Routes: Use the detour route along Appleby Line, Britannia Road and Walkers Line for access to and from No. 4 Side Road.

The sidewalk and parking lane on the west side of Brant Street, across from Pine Street, will be closed for utility work from Tuesday, July 30 to Friday, Aug. 2, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Between July 23 and 26, Bell Canada will undertake work to upgrade telephone facilties in the area of John Street and Pine Street in downtown Burlington., including the placement of a new Bell fibre optic cable.
As a result of this activity, a temporary lane closure on John Street will be in place, just north of Pine Street, between July 23 and 26.
