Burlassic Park Game 2-7 Road Closures

The City of Burlington will be hosting free viewing parties for the remainder of the NBA final games.

Closures

For games 2, 5*, 6*, 7* (*if needed), the following road closures will be in effect one hour before the viewing parties begin until shortly after each game ends:

• Brant Street from James to Elgin Streets

The following are the dates, times and locations for Burlassic Park NBA Finals public viewing parties:

Game 2: Sunday, June 2: Civic Square 7:30 p.m. Game 3: Wednesday, June 5: Central Park Bandshell 8:30 p.m. (no road closures needed) Game 4: Friday, June 7: Location to be determined. 8:30 p.m. Game 5: Monday, June 10. Viewing party begins at 8:30 p.m.* Game 6: Thursday, June 13. Viewing party begins at 8:30 p.m.* Game 7: Sunday, June 16. Viewing party begins at 7:30 p.m.*

Short-term road closure: Hammond Street - May 30, 2019

Temporary Lane Restriction: Lakeshore Road, between Elizabeth Street and Pearl Street, May 29 - 31, 2019

Eastbound traffic on Lakeshore Road, between Elizabeth Street and Pearl Street, will be reduced to one lane for crane activity starting Wednesday, May 29 at 7 a.m. until Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m.

Delays during peak traffic hours are anticipated.

 

Road Closure: Locust Street, between Elgin Street and Lakeshore Avenue, May 27, 2019

May 24, 2019 - On Monday, May 27, 2019, Locust Street will be closed between Elgin Street and Lakeshored Road as Cogeco continues work to rebuild a cable distribution system in the area.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Access to the parking garage at 414 Locust St. will be maintained from Elgin Street.

May 10, 2019 - Between May 13 and May 17, Cogeco will undertake work to rebuild the cable distribution system in the area of Locust Street and Lakeshore Road.

As a result of this activity, Lakeshore Road and Locust Street will remain open but some temporary lane closures are anticipated.

Access to all businesses in the area will be maintained and no Cogeco service interruptions are planned.

Temporary Lane Restrictions: Deer Run Avenue and Vancouver Crescent Areas - starts week of May 21

This summer, the City of Burlington will be making improvements to the roadways, curbs, sidewalks and storm sewers in the areas of Deer Run Avenue and Vancouver Crescent in Wards 6 and 4. Construction activity is expected to begin the week of May 21, 2019 and continue into the fall.

As a result of construction activity, all streets in these areas will experience temporary lane restrictions throughout the duration of the project.
