Temporary Lane Restriction: Lakeshore Road, between Elizabeth Street and Pearl Street, May 29 - 31, 2019

Eastbound traffic on Lakeshore Road, between Elizabeth Street and Pearl Street, will be reduced to one lane for crane activity starting Wednesday, May 29 at 7 a.m. until Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m.

Delays during peak traffic hours are anticipated.

 

Road Closure: Locust Street, between Elgin Street and Lakeshore Avenue, May 27, 2019

May 24, 2019 - On Monday, May 27, 2019, Locust Street will be closed between Elgin Street and Lakeshored Road as Cogeco continues work to rebuild a cable distribution system in the area.

The closure will be in place from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Access to the parking garage at 414 Locust St. will be maintained from Elgin Street.

May 10, 2019 - Between May 13 and May 17, Cogeco will undertake work to rebuild the cable distribution system in the area of Locust Street and Lakeshore Road.

As a result of this activity, Lakeshore Road and Locust Street will remain open but some temporary lane closures are anticipated.

Access to all businesses in the area will be maintained and no Cogeco service interruptions are planned.

Temporary Lane Restrictions: Deer Run Avenue and Vancouver Crescent Areas - starts week of May 21

This summer, the City of Burlington will be making improvements to the roadways, curbs, sidewalks and storm sewers in the areas of Deer Run Avenue and Vancouver Crescent in Wards 6 and 4. Construction activity is expected to begin the week of May 21, 2019 and continue into the fall.

As a result of construction activity, all streets in these areas will experience temporary lane restrictions throughout the duration of the project.

Road Closure - Rexway Drive, between Walkers Line and Thornwood Avenue, starts May 21, 2019

This summer, the City of Burlington and Halton Region will be working to replace water and watermain infrastructure in the area near Rexway Drive, as part of the Rexway Drive Area Reconstruction Project.

As part of this project, Rexway Drive, between Walkers Line and Thornwood Avenue, will be closed, with local traffic only, beginning Tuesday, May 21, 2019. The closure is expected to be in place until mid-June 2019.

During this work, Rexway Drive at Tuck Creek bridge will be unpassable in both directions.

Elwood Road and Braemore Road will also be closed at Rexway Drive, with local access only.
