Walk Off The Earth Memorial Tribute Road Closures

Walk off the Earth’s Mike ‘Beard Guy’ Taylor Memorial Tribute will be taking place in Burlington on Sunday, Jan. 13. The event will result in a road closure. Vehicles parked illegally in the area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access. 

Concert goers are encouraged to take Burlington Transit to the event.

Road Closures Sunday, Jan. 13 from 3 a.m. to Monday, Jan. 14 at midnight:

  • Brant Street from Ontario Street to Pine Street
  • James Street from John Street to Brant Street
  • Elgin Street from Brant Street to Locust Street
  • Ontario Street from Brant Street to Locust Street

Parking Restrictions Sunday, Jan. 13 from 3 a.m. to Monday, Jan. 14 at 12 a.m.

  • Brant Street Parking Lot #5 will be closed
  • Please remember to obey all parking bylaws
  • Cars parked on private property may be tagged and towed at the owner’s expense

Santa Claus Parade Closure Map

Santa Claus Parade Road Closures, Sunday, Dec. 2

The 53rd annual Santa Claus Parade will be happening on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Road Closures11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Prospect Street from Cumberland Avenue to Guelph Line with local access permitted.

1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

  • Guelph Line from Prospect Street to New Street 
  • New Street from Guelph Line to Martha Street
  • James Street from Martha Street to Brant Street
  • Brant Street from Baldwin Street/Victoria Avenue to Elgin Street.

The Halton Regional Police Service will supervise all closures and direct traffic at major intersections.

Emergency services access will be maintained at all times along the event route.

Road Closures for Remembrance Day Services

A number of Remembrance Day services will be taking place in downtown Burlington on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018.

The following road closures will be in place:

  • Brant Street will be closed from Elgin Street to Victoria Avenue between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • James Street will be closed from John Street to Brant Street between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Ontario Street will be closed from Locust Street to Brant Street between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Baldwin Street will be closed from Brant Street between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Temporary Road Closure: Seneca Avenue, Oct. 31, 2018
