Road Closures and Restrictions

Road Closure - Harvester Road at Guelph Line

Repaving work is being done in/near the intersection of Harvester Road and Guelph Line on Thursday, Oct. 12 and Friday, Oct. 13 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.. The work requires full closures of Harvester Road east of the intersection and west of the intersection at Guelph Line.  Guelph Line will remain open during construction for traffic moving north and south through the intersection, with some lane restrictions.

Temporary road closure: Elgin Street, Sept. 27

Elgin Street will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, Sept. 27 between Maple Avenue and Brock Street for crane activity. The closure is in place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Access to nearby properties will be maintained. Through traffic will be detoured to Brock Avenue, Ontario Street and Maple Avenue.

Road Closure and Lane Restrictions, New Street, Oct. 1

The annual Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, Oct. 1, will result in road and lane closures in Burlington. Streets will reopen following the completion of the event. Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed to allow emergency access.

Road Closures – 10 a.m. to noon

• New Street from Drury Lane to Guelph Line

Lane Closures – 10 a.m. to noon

• New Street from Guelph Line to Walker’s Line, two lanes will be closed and two-way traffic will be accommodated on remaining lanes with no southbound turns along the event route.

Resident Access

Residents along New Street can get access to their driveways to cross the event route by contacting the event organizers at 905-687-6188 before or on event day. An escort vehicle will be sent to take your vehicle through the closed section of the course, subject to delays. Emergency services access will be maintained at all times along the event route.

Lane Restrictions at 2154 Walkers Line

Due to construction, there will be lane restrictions from Sept. 25 to Sept. 29 in the area of 2154 Walkers Line (north of Jordan Avenue).

Road Closure - Tyadandaga Park Drive

Tyandaga Park Drive will be closed from Tyandaga Tennis Club entrance to Frontenac Place Aug. 22 and 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The road will be closed for the installation of water valve chambers.
