The City of Burlington has declared a Snow Event beginning Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. To allow snow removal equipment room to clear roads safely and quickly, all on-street parking is suspended, effective 9 p.m.
During a Snow Event when accumulation is more than 7.5 cm, road clearing updates can be found by visiting Burlington.ca/snow. Snow Control Update subscribers will receive emails at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. about the status of snow removal. To receive Snow Control Updates by email, visit burlington.ca/subscribe to subscribe.
Snow Clearing Service LevelsPrimary and secondary roads are addressed as soon as snow starts to accumulate.
Residential roads are cleared after snow reaches 7.5 cm of accumulation. Residential roads are not maintained to bare pavement but are sanded as required at intersections, hills and sharp curves to enhance traction.
All sidewalks are plowed after 5 cm of accumulation and salted or sanded as required.

Plowing of local residential roads is nearing completion. The Snow Event declaration will therefore end at 7 p.m., and on-street parking can resume at that time.
Sidewalk plowing is complete along primary roads. Secondary sidewalks and bus shelters will continue to be cleared into the overnight hours.
Windrow removal for those registered has also been initiated.
Please do not place snow back into the roadway from your driveway. It is against the City Bylaw, and the Highway Traffic Act.

Plowing of Primary and Secondary roads continued through the overnight hours, and crews have begun clearing residential roads. Local road plowing is expected to continue into the early evening.
Residents are reminded that there is no on-street parking until the Snow Event has ended.
Sidewalk plowing will begin this morning and continue throughout the day.
Bus stops will be cleared today.

The Snow Event is over and plowing of roads is complete. Sanding of residential roads is ongoing throughout the day and plowing of sidewalks is nearing completion.
On-street parking and parking exemptions can resume.
