Ride BT on Canada Day

Celebrate Canada Day with the family and take Burlington Transit downtown. Take either Route 2, 4 or 10 to get downtown. Visit myride.burlingtontransit.ca to plan your trip and tap your PRESTO card to get to the event. Children and seniors ride for free.

Mainway Arena Shuttle

Park your car at Mainway Arena, 4015 Mainway, and use the free shuttle to Downtown. The shuttle operates from 12 to 11:30 p.m. from Mainway Arena to the Downtown Terminal, 430 John St.

Stop by the Downtown Transit Terminal, 430 John St., and pick up your Summer Youth Pass* today!

About the Burlington Transit Summer Youth Pass:
  • Only available at the Downtown Transit Terminal at 430 John St.
  • Valid for unlimited travel on Burlington Transit only.
  • Cannot be used on other transit systems.

Youth ride for free on weekdays after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Visit burlingtontransit.ca for more transit information.

We’re open on the weekends!

Starting on Sunday, Feb. 4, the Downtown Transit Terminal will be open every Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by to:

  • get transit information,
  • load or purchase your PRESTO card, or
  • ask about an item you may have left on the bus.

NEW Downtown Transit Terminal Hours

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Downtown Transit Terminal is closed on holidays.

Route 11 is moving to a new platform at the 407 GO Carpool Lot

Starting Jan. 6, you’ll be catching Route 11 Sutton-Alton on platform number 5 at the 407 GO Carpool Lot. This means that both Route 11 Sutton-Alton and Route 25 Walkers will share the same platform. Please check your bus number before boarding the bus.

  • Platform 5, Route 11 Sutton-Alton and 25 Walkers
  • Platform 6, Route 6 Headon
  • Platform 7, Route 2 Brant and Route 3 Guelph

Burlington Transit Holiday Hours, Dec. 23 to Jan. 2

Happy Holidays from Burlington Transit! Here are our holiday hours from Dec. 23, 2023 to Jan. 2, 2024

This holiday season, Burlington Transit buses will be on the road, and specialized dispatch and the Downtown Transit Terminal will be open. Please note our adjusted hours during the holiday season.

Burlington Transit’s administrative offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 to Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

Use Burlington Transit to get home on New Year’s Eve!

On Dec. 31, Burlington Transit will be extending service on Route 1 Plains-Fairview and on all Late-Night routes.

  • Route 1 Plains-Fairview will provide service every 30 minutes, with the last bus departing Hamilton at 1 a.m. and Appleby GO at 1:15 a.m.
  • Route 50 Burlington South, 51 Burlington Northeast and 52 Burlington Northwest will leave Burlington GO every 60 minutes, from 8:56 p.m. to 12:56 a.m.
