The first meeting of the new Committee of the Whole will happen on January 8 and 9, 2024. Additionally, the first meeting of the new Pipeline to Permit Committee is scheduled for February 8, 2024.
The City of Burlington has four standing committees of Council, including:
Standing committees provide a forum for public input, and they make recommendations to Council on issues within their areas of responsibility. All seven members of Council are members of standing committees, except the Audit Committee, which is made up of Council members and community members, and the Pipeline to Permit Committee which is made up of Council members, stakeholders and community members.

Standing committee and Council meetings are held using a hybrid format, providing you with the option of speaking in-person at City Hall, 426 Brant St., or virtually via Zoom.
