For older Adults, TelePALS provides free over the phone discussion, social and learning programs for adults. Participants can join in Chat Groups, Listen and Learn, Game Shows, Ask the Expert or Listen for Enjoyment programs. Learn more about TelePALS.

Fitness |
Seated, standing, floor and walking Group Fitness programs with certified Instructors who encourage your progress will energize your day! Instructors incorporate elements designed to improve strength, endurance and flexibility and will offer modifications to all activities so you can move and challenge yourself safely. Games |
Advance your skills and strategy or learn new something new. Recreational Game programs are designed to keep challenge appropriate to the skill levels so that everyone can enjoy friendly competition in a welcoming and fun environment. Programs currently offered require social distancing and do not require sharing of supplies such as cards or tiles. Some programs are now using technology to enable players to play games and interact safely. |
Music |
The city offers a variety of group lessons in a variety of instruments for beginners, intermediate and more experienced players. |
Pickleball |
Pickleball is a paddle-racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played on a small court, singles and doubles use strategy and positioning to score up to 11 points. Forgiving enough for beginners, and yet fast-paced and competitive enough for advanced players this sport is taking the world by storm. For safety and to enhance enjoyment and appropriate challenge, players must attend programs that match their ranking level. Those whose skills are not aligned with the program level listed will be asked to withdraw. Currently, all Pickleball programs are paused in compliance with Provincial Regulations. |
Socials |
Socials are events where friends old and new gather together to enjoy discussion, entertainment and often dining. Currently the City will be offering virtual social events which invite participants to join our hosted and themed virtual gatherings to visit with others and enjoy casual conversation and entertainment. Wellness programs focus on discussion, learning and practices that bring a sense of balance and well-being to the participant. The primary goal of wellness programs is to share information about healthy living, reduce physical, social and mental stress, and practice habits that bring mind, body and spirit into alignment.
