100In1Day Burlington is part of a growing global movement that is changing how people interact with their City. 100In1Day provides residents with a platform to showcase their ideas aimed to spark change in their communities. In 1 Day, let’s make 100 ideas come to life across Burlington. Your idea might be a simple, low-cost community project or action that is free, open to anyone, designed to create positive change. Ideas Like Pop-up parking space, plant swap, seed giveaways, alleyway concert, community art creation, neighbourhood chalk party, community library and more. The possibilities are endless. Halton Sport Leadership |
The City of Burlington, five schools in the Halton District School Board and the YMCA Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford are working together to create Halton Sport Leadership. About Halton Sport Leadership:The initiative supports at-promise youth facing personal challenges and/or economic hardships with leadership development and community involvement opportunities to build self-esteem and confidence to make a difference and positive life choices. Participants in the program are provided with training, leadership and workshops and volunteer opportunities during the City of Burlington’s March Break camps. Youth then further their development by choosing a pathway to gain further certifications in coaching, refereeing or lifeguarding. To learn more, email communitysupport@burlington.ca. |
