What does a collaborative relationship look like?
A collaborative relationship is a simple arrangement between the Community Partner and the City in an effort to support the delivery of recreation programs and experiences in a city community or recreation facility or park. Not all community partners are the same. Each relationship may look different and is unique. A "win-win-win" outcome is the ultimate goal between the Community Partner and City of Burlington for the benefit of the Community.
How to become a Community Partner and Eligibility |
Eligible: Must be Open to the Public The city is open to receiving inquiries from community partners that can provide an on-going recreation experience, program or activity that is open to the broader community in the area of Sport, Recreation or Culture. Please submit your inquiry or expression of interest by answering the following:

Not Eligible: Closed Group or Private Groups Those looking to provide a recreation experience to a closed or private group or those looking to use space are not eligible to become a community provider and can request space at rentals@burlington.ca |
Lowville School House RFEI-601-19 CLOSED |
The Request for Expressions of Interest RFEI-601-19 for the rent or lease of the historic Lowville School House is closed. We thank all individuals who submitted their ideas for the use of this unique asset. At this time, the City will not be moving forward with a formal competitive Request for Proposals process for the use of this space. The City may reconsider potential uses and investments for this building in the future subject to Council approval and funding. At this time, the building will continue to be used by the City as a utility space to support park operations. The City will continue to carefully maintain the structural integrity and heritage features of this historically significant building. |
