Central Park Accessible Swing

The City of Burlington is building an addition to the new playground at Central Park (2299 New St.) in Spring-Summer 2022.

The proposed improvements include:

• New fully-accessible multi-user wheelchair swing
• Symbol communication board
• Rubber safety surfacing surround with curbs and access ramp
• Concrete walkway extension
• Subsurface drainage work and partial irrigation re-design

The park playground (behind library) will remain open during construction, however, there will be some minor disruptions due to construction activity. The new accessible swing area will be closed and fenced off with signs posted until final safety inspection is complete.
