The City of Burlington is renewing Lansdown Park (3448 Hannibal Rd.) and updating the Palmer Park (3409 Palmer Dr.) tennis court surface beginning in October 2023.

Project scope
The proposed Lansdown Park improvements include:
- Removal of baseball diamond
- New water service
- New adult-size soccer field with irrigation
- New splash pad area
- Installation of shade structure
- Accessible picnic tables
- Drinking fountain with bottle filler and pet bowl
- Exercise equipment stations
- New asphalt pathways with park-loop
- New waste bins
- Additional seating areas
- Planting of several new trees
- Winter designated skating area
The proposed Palmer Park tennis/pickleball court improvements include:
- Removal of tennis surfacing
- Install new play surface
- Reinstate one tennis court
- Install four new pickleball courts
- New nets for tennis and pickleball
- Low chain link fence separation at pickleball
To ensure public safety during construction, the Lansdown Park playground area will be closed during construction. The parking area will be used for construction and will also be closed until construction is complete.
Palmer Park will remain open and the tennis court area will be closed off during construction.

Survey – thank you for your input
In 2022, the City conducted an online survey and feedback was also gathered at the Movie in the Park to get public feedback about the preferred Lansdown Park design concept. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, including the many children and caregivers who provided great feedback.
