Mountain Gardens Parkette Improvements

The City of Burlington is renewing the park and playground at Mountain Gardens Parkette (2080 Mount Forest Dr.) in Summer-Fall 2021.

The proposed improvements include:

• The replacement of existing playground equipment and swings
• The installation of new engineered safety surfacing around the playground and swings
• New concrete perimeter curb and transition curb for accessibility into playground area
• Renewed asphalt pathway to playground
• Renewed seating
• Installation of bike racks
• Renewed waste receptacle

The park will remain closed and fenced off with signs posted until final 3^rd party safety inspection is complete. Thank you in advance for your cooperation during construction.

Love My Playground! Survey – thank you for your input

In 2019, the City conducted a ‘Love My Playground’ survey to get the public's feedback about the types of equipment they'd like to see at local playgrounds when the equipment is replaced in 2021. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, including the many children and caregivers who provided great feedback.

Your input inspired the playground designers when deciding which pieces of play equipment to include in your new local playground. Many of the desired play equipment features identified in the survey results will be included as part of the new Mountain Gardens Parkette playground as well as additional features that are best suited to the small scale of the parkette.
