Back to SearchThe City of Burlington has awarded a construction contract to upgrade the water service infrastructure at Sheldon Park (5320 Riverside Dr.) in October and November 2021.
The upgrade will improve the water pressure for the irrigation system and provide a water source for an ice-skating rink in the winter.
The proposed work will include:
- Replacement of the in-ground water service chamber with new above ground water service cabinet
- Replacement of corroded steel watermain with new watermain
- All season yard hydrant (to provide water in the winter for ice-rink)
For safety, the area under construction will be fenced off during the construction period. The remaining areas of the park will still be open for public use.
