Back to SearchBurlington Transit will be remembering those who fought for our freedom by honouring all veterans on Remembrance Day. We will be pausing service for two minutes of silence on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 at 11 a.m.
Just before 11 a.m., our buses and specialized vehicles will stop in a safe spot and stay there until the moment of silence has finished. The Downtown Transit Terminal will also pause service at 11 a.m.
All service will resume after the two-minute pause.
Service hours
Burlington Transit will run on a regular schedule on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Downtown Transit Terminal at 430 John St. will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Our specialized dispatch office will be closed.
Detours
Burlington Transit buses will be detoured throughout downtown Burlington and Hamilton for their Remembrance Day processions and ceremonies.
