The Committee of the Whole is holding a public meeting to consider City-initiated amendments to the City’s Zoning By-law 2020, as amended, pursuant to Section 34 of the Planning Act.
The proposed amendments include an update to remove minimum residential vehicle parking requirements for lands in the:
City staff were directed by Council to make these changes to support Burlington’s Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan, and ultimately the creation of more housing in Burlington. This is a pilot initiative in areas served by high frequency transit and could expand to other areas that are well supported by transit.
You are invited to attend a Statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act to consider the staff report and proposed bylaw. This meeting will be held using a hybrid model, allowing members of Council, City staff and the public the option of participating remotely or in-person at Burlington City Hall, 426 Brant St.
