Burlington welcomes film productions
The City of Burlington has many unique filming locations that are ideal for film and television productions. These locations have attracted a number of productions, including:

Burlington's Filming Policy provides a framework for all filming in Burlington. It was created to ensure the safety and consideration of residents, business people and motorists during location shooting. Please note, a valid permit issued by the City of Burlington is required for a location shoot in the city.
When to Apply
- You must apply at least 10 business days before you plan to begin filming.
- You must apply at least 30 days in advance if the filming:
- involves a road closure
- includes hazardous activity
- requires a bylaw exemption (ie: after 11 p.m.)
Apply for a Filming Permit
To apply for a Filming Permit, you must:
- Contact the Festivals and Events office to learn about the application process and the city's rules and regulations for filming including the requirement for Neighbourhood Consent.
- Review the Film Permit Process
- Submit the following:
- Filming Permit application form and payment of film application fee ($162.80)
- Certificate of Insurance
- Notification letter as per requirements
- Consent to Film
