The City of Burlington is renewing the park and playground at Taywood Park (4357 Millcroft Park Dr.) in Spring-Summer 2022.
The proposed improvements include:
The park will remain open during construction, however, there will be some minor disruptions due to construction activity. The playground area will remain closed and fenced off with signs posted until the final safety inspection is complete. Thank you in advance for your cooperation during construction.
In 2021, the City conducted a ‘Love My Playground’ survey to get public feedback about the types of equipment they'd like to see at local playgrounds when the equipment is replaced in 2022. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey, including the many children and caregivers who provided great feedback.
Survey results showed the most desired play equipment features for Taywood Park were:
Your input inspired the playground designers when deciding which pieces of play equipment to include in your new local playground. Most of the play equipment features identified above from the survey results will be included as part of the new Taywood Park playground.
