There are five standing committees of Council – Environment, Infrastructure and Community Services Committee; Community Planning, Regulation and Mobility Committee; Corporate Services, Strategy, Risk and Accountability Committee; Audit Committee and Council Workshop. Standing committees provide a forum for the public to provide input and make recommendations to Council on issues within their areas of responsibility. The standing committees have focused mandates concerning the services and operations of the municipality.
All seven members of Council are members of the Environment, Infrastructure and Community Services Committee; Community Planning, Regulation and Mobility Committee; Corporate Services, Strategy, Risk and Accountability Committee and Council Workshop. The Audit Committee is made up of members of Council and community members.
A set of guidelines has been created to help inform members of Council and the public on how electronic meetings will be conducted. The rules of procedure as outlined in Procedure By-law 04-2020, as amended, will still apply in an electronic meeting.
