Aldershot Food Collection Committee |
Drive-through and drop-off food donations are accepted every Monday and Wednesday from noon – 3 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Church. The food collected is immediately distributed to the Burlington Food Bank and the Compassion Society. |
Bag Half Full |
Bag Half Full is a nationwide initiative launched by Canadian medical students. Our mission is to promote community health and accessibility during this pandemic. This student-led not-for-profit initiative would appreciate monetary support in the form of donations, so they can reimburse the volunteer delivery drivers for gas expenses.

Glad Tidings wants to help those most vulnerable in our community by holding a digital food drive. Many people in our community are facing job loss and economic uncertainty. Donating to our digital food drive allows our team to procure or access and then deliver food and other essential items to those in need. |

Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) |
ROCK is looking for funds that will help address their key areas of need that have been identified since the COVID-19 pandemic, along with adapting their programs and services to continue to serve clients. ROCK is adapting their service delivery methods, as it has always been face-to-face, they are focusing on providing virtual support. This includes immediately delivering services online through email, teleconference, and over the phone. They want to expand to offer video program delivery to clients, which will include video support, crisis counselling, and an immediate response “chat box”. These new services must remain as a private and confidential connection. |
Shifra Homes Inc. |
This is a maternity residence and homeless shelter in Burlington that houses young, homeless, pregnant women between the ages of 16 and 27. While we cannot currently accept in-kind donations, monetary donations are extremely helpful. Donations will be used to purchase food, baby items, and household supplies. |

Bag Half Full is a nationwide initiative launched by Canadian medical students. Our mission is to promote community health and accessibility during this pandemic. This student-led not-for-profit initiative is designed to bridge the gap of accessibility to groceries and household items for vulnerable populations within the Halton (Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills) community. Our goal is to assist the elderly, those who are immunocompromised, and those who are self-isolating due to COVID-19 by providing them with free grocery shopping and delivery services.

OCSA is leading the government’s new program to coordinate and subsidize deliveries of meals, medicines and other necessities to low-income seniors and people with disabilities in need. We are still here and ready to support you with scheduled face to face appointments or by phone or video, whichever is most comfortable for you. United Way – Halton and Hamilton |
United Way Halton & Hamilton has established the COVID-19 Emergency Fund to help support our community’s most vulnerable in this challenging time. The Fund is intended to provide monetary support to community-based agencies in adapting to the COVID-19. Funding is available for local, front-line agencies supporting individuals and families experiencing poverty, isolation, and other difficult realities. Phase 2 of the emergency fund application is now open. This phase of the emergency fund application is for non-profit agencies in the Halton & Hamilton regions, focusing on supporting seniors. |

BounceBack is a free, guided self-help program that’s effective in helping people aged 15 and up who are experiencing mild-to-moderate anxiety or depression, or may be feeling low, stressed, worried, irritable or angry.

CMHA is providing case management and peer support by phone and are offering free counselling by phone so that they can continue to support our community in a manner that is safe. You will be contacted by a counsellor within 24 business hours.
