On Oct. 1, Canada recognizes the contributions and value that all older adults make in our lives and community. In Burlington, we will be celebrating this day on Oct. 2, 2023.
Celebrate adults aged 55+ today, acknowledging their wisdom, experience, and contributions to our community and personal lives, whether they're family, colleagues, neighbours, or friends.
To celebrate, the City of Burlington is inviting adults 55+ to join us at various Community Centres where they will be able to enjoy free drop-in programs. Complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies will be available all day at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre Bistro.
Burlington Transit, Burlington Fire Department and members of the Burlington Seniors’ Advisory Committee will be attending. City staff will be able to initialize Presto Cards and will be offering demonstrations and displays of various arts, leisure, sport, fitness, music, and wellness programs.
