Heritage Week is a time to celebrate the many aspects of Burlington’s various heritages.

Join us for our Adult 55+ Active Living Fair showcasing many of the services available to older adults in our community! Enjoy a warm meal or refreshments at no cost from our Bistro in the lounge with others and speak with a broad range of exhibitors on topics ranging from Home Care, Volunteer Opportunities, Regional and Municipal Services, foot care, and so much more!

Event schedule

• Tradeshow: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Educational Seminars: 11 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m.
• Bistro Service: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Transit

The Burlington Seniors’ Centre is conveniently located on Burlington Transit’s Route 4 and 10. Using a PRESTO card, Seniors 65 years of age or older ride the bus for free every day! If you need help planning your bus trip, please call 905-639-0550.

In the month of January, Cogeco will be offering themed music on Thursdays and Fridays as part of their sponsorship for outdoor skating programs. The Cogeco Community Events team will be onsite playing cool beats and offering hot treats at the Burlington Rotary Centennial Pond to provide some activities and entertainment for skaters.

Celebrate its 29th anniversary as Spencer Smith Park transforms into a dazzling display of holiday lights. From December to early January, enjoy this cherished tradition with family and friends along Burlington’s waterfront.

The Burlington Festival of Lights is organized by a dedicated committee of volunteers, with support from local businesses and organizations. Volunteers play a crucial role in setting up and maintaining the displays each year.
