View Calendar...Celebrate Burlington Culture Days Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, 2024It’s that time of year again! You’re invited to join local artists, culture professionals and creative organizations at free, interactive in-person and online events during the 15th annual Culture Days.
Throughout Culture Days, a temporary exhibit will be installed along the Waterfront Trail. You can view signs featuring the work of twenty local artists and writers near Beachway Park. This is an accessible way to enjoy art and learn more about creators in our community.
The City of Burlington is also partnering with the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Burlington Public Library, Museums of Burlington and the Arts and Culture Council of Burlington to offer free community events as part of the Burlington Hub. Parade Route:Santa Claus is coming to town on a new route for 2024! Due to road construction happening along the existing parade route, the City of Burlington must change the route for 2024. This also presents an opportunity to make the route shorter, which is something many residents have requested.
The road closure will be roughly 3kms in length (previously 4.5kms) with the parade route starting at the Central Hub (Teen Tour Way).
The marshalling area will extend to Guelph Line on New Street
The parade will end on Brant Street at Blairholm Avenue, with the dismantling zone moving onto private property
The road closure ending at Ghent Avenue.
The new route will improve efficiency and will be less impactful to Burlington residents and businesses surrounding Guelph Line and Prospect Street.

Residents are invited to join the Burlington Fire Department this Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at IKEA at 1065 Plains Rd. E to chat about smoke and CO alarms and how to keep your home and loved ones safe. Meet firefighters, check out the fire truck and take the pledge to test your smoke alarms for a chance to win a prize.
Test Your Smoke Alarm Day encourages all Ontarians to learn more about smoke alarms, fire safety, and home fire escape planning, which can save the lives of you and your loved ones

Celebrate adults aged 55+ today, acknowledging their wisdom, experience, and contributions to our community and personal lives, whether they're family, colleagues, neighbours, or friends.
To celebrate, the City of Burlington is inviting adults 55+ to join us at various Community Centres where they will be able to enjoy free drop-in programs. Complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies will be available all day at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre Bistro.
Adults 55+ are encouraged to reserve ahead and are welcome to drop in if space is available. Reserve ahead, view programs on our Drop-in Programs page.
