The City of Burlington has planned renewal work at Tyandaga Golf Course, located at 1265 Tyandaga Park Dr. As part of this larger project, the City is receiving Government of Canada funding, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) to build a new recreational trail.
This project marks a first major step in making Tyandaga Golf Course a multi-use space. By opening it for offseason recreation and linking it with trails through Kerncliff Park to City View Park, it creates a unique recreational area that welcome increased winter use, eco-tourism and educational events. The result will be improved tourism at both the local and regional level through increased participation and use of local trail networks, which will encourage and embrace active outdoor experiences for all.
The trail will be officially named with approval from Council, according to the City’s Corporate Asset Naming Policy.

To ensure everyone’s safety during construction, portions of the golf course - Kerncliff Park and City View Park - will be closed. The construction activity within Kerncliff Park and City View Park will be minimal. All public parking lots will remain open. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during construction to ensure a safe environment.
Construction was originally scheduled to take place from mid-October 2025 to early January 2026. Completion has been delayed until spring 2026 because of a very early winter and extremely low temperatures.
