The City of Burlington offers advertising and sponsorship opportunities at various locations throughout the city. We work with you to explore ideas and customize an advertising and sponsorship program to fit your marketing needs and budget.

We take great pride in offering many exciting recreational and play-based experiences and events, facilities, parks, open spaces and fields to support active living and a healthy lifestyle. We work collaboratively with our partners to build relationships and help deliver quality recreation and play experiences to the community that benefit everyone.

Adopt-a-Flowerbed program

The City of Burlington's Adopt-a-Flowerbed program offers a way for individuals, community groups, corporations and schools to help make Burlington beautiful.

With your yearly financial contribution, our staff maintain the planting, watering and weeding of a flowerbed or concrete planter of your choosing. We place an 'Adopted by:' sign in the flowerbed or planter with your name or your organization's name. Concrete planter signs are on display from May to October and not year-round.

Non-Service Provider/Commercial Three-Month Rate: $156.10 plus HST

Program Provider/Not-for-Profit Monthly Rate: $52 plus HST
Program Provider/Not-for-Profit Three-Month Rate: $109.20 plus HST

Read-o-Graph outdoor signage

The City of Burlington offers exposure for your business or event with messages posted on our outdoor Read-o-Graph signs. Posting a message on our outdoor signs is a great way to get noticed with high exposure on a limited budget. Our 12 signage locations, which include community centres, arenas and pools, are high-traffic areas.

Requirements and deadlines

Ensure you have chosen your dates and location for your message
The deadline for booking a Read-o-Graph sign message is Fridays at noon
All messages must be completed at the time of booking
Read-o-Graph signs are changed every Tuesday

Donations

We graciously accept a variety of donations, with funds going toward park amenities, and recreation fee assistance and program access. We also accept used skates with our skate lending program.

Donations in Honour and Memory

With our Donations in Honour and Memory program, you can honour a special person or celebrate an important occasion with a donation made toward an outdoor amenity, such as a bench, bike rack or sun shelter found at select parks, City-owned properties and along City roads. Your donation includes a personalized plaque placed on the amenity.

Donations to recreation

Consider making a donation to our Recreation Fee Assistance Fund, which supports fee assistance and access to recreational programs for individuals and families requiring financial support.

Donations are also accepted in support of the Burlington Teen Tour Band, and Burlington Seniors’ Centre programs. Donations of $25 or more are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

Skate donations

With our skate lending program, you can donate your used skates to support skating program participation throughout the city. The program provides skates and equipment to individuals and families in need.
