As part of our ongoing environmental sustainability efforts and to support the goal to become a net carbon neutral community, the City of Burlington offers many public charging stations to charge your electric vehicle.
An electric vehicle (EV) is a car that is powered by an electric motor instead of a gasoline or diesel engine. An EV uses rechargeable batteries and does not produce any tailpipe emissions.
There are several public charging stations throughout Burlington. All of our public charging units are currently Level 2 with a Level 3 unit coming in 2022. You can search for charging locations in the city on PlugShare maps, or visit one of our many public EV charging parking spots downtown:

There is no fee to charge a vehicle, however our parking rates ($1.75/hour) will still apply. Parking is free on weekdays after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
