As part of our ongoing environmental sustainability efforts and to support the goal to become a net carbon neutral and resilient community, the City of Burlington has an Electric Mobility Strategy and offers many public charging stations to charge your electric vehicle.
An electric vehicle (EV) is a car that is powered by an electric motor instead of a gasoline or diesel engine. An EV uses rechargeable batteries and does not produce any tailpipe emissions.
There are several public charging stations throughout Burlington. All of our stations are Level 2 unless otherwise stated and are listed below (including those coming in 2023). More stations are planned for 2024 or later at the former Robert Bateman High School, Skyway Arena & Community Centre and Tyandaga Golf Course. You can search for additional charging locations in the city on PlugShare maps.
