A Neighbourhood Connector is a resident who makes connections between neighbours and strives to make it easier for neighbours to connect, share strategies and build relationships.
What is the role of a Neighbourhood Connector?
- Help foster neighbour to neighbour connections & build relationships between residents in a neighbourhood.
- Inform and engage your neighbours about important topics and act as a contact person.
- Help enhance the quality of life in your neighbourhood by promoting & supporting neighbourhood initiatives.
- Host at least one neighbourhood event annually and support other gatherings in your neighbourhood.
- Promote the Neighbourhood Connector program and invite others to join and grow the network.
- Represent your neighbourhood in City-led engagements and initiatives and collaborate with City staff.
- Attend network meet-ups to connect, share ideas, and access training and resources. Meet-ups will be supported by City staff.
