You can request and renew various parking permits with the City of Burlington and Service Ontario, including:

New parking permit requests can be made:

Permits for downtown municipal lots
We offer monthly Downtown Parking Permits for many municipal lots. Monthly rates range from $91 to $151. To make a new Downtown Parking Permit request, please log into your account on the Parking Customer portal.

To renew an existing parking permit, you will need your licence plate number associated with your permit.

Alton Village Residential Parking Permits
We offer Alton Village Residential Parking Permits that allow residents to park their vehicle on community streets 24-hours per day, up to 48-hours on the same street. All other parking offences are applicable. There is a limit of one permit per household.
The cost of the permit is $30 per month or $350 per year. To apply, please log in to the Parking Customer Portal.

To renew your permit, visit the Parking Customer Portal. You will need your unique account number and licence plate number associated with your permit.

Veteran Parking Permits
We offer Veteran Parking Permits for individuals who served in:
- The Second World War or Korean War
- The Canadian Forces, Reserve Forces, Commonwealth Forces, its Allies, the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime
- NATO operations or the United Nations Peacekeeping Force
- Vietnam War in the United States Forces or its Allies, and were a Canadian citizen at the time of service
Veteran Parking Permits or vehicles with a veteran licence plate may freely park, up to the designated time period at:
- Municipal facilities
- Downtown on-street parking and municipal lots
- Art Gallery of Burlington (1333 Lakeshore Rd.)
- Sims Square (390 Brant St.)
