The City requires photographers to book either a 90 minute or three hour photography session contract for group photography in select public parks.
Amateur and professional photographers may use these contracts for family, group, or personal photography when the images are for personal use. Photographers must get a contract to help organize park use and minimize impacts on other park visitors.

Kerncliff Park is a unique and beautiful park nestled in the Niagara escarpment. The natural stone backdrop, wooden bridge through marsh like setting, nature trails and backdrop views of the city and Lake Ontario of this park provide the perfect canvas for your group photography session. Permits are not restricted to a specific space, and you can move about the park to select the perfect location for your group photography session. |
LaSalle Park |

Situated on Burlington's lakefront in the Aldershot community, LaSalle Park offers a variety of picturesque areas for your group photography session including the waterfront area, trails and open green space. Paletta Lakefront Park |

Permits are available only from Monday through Thursday. The areas available for booking are the north and south bridges. Photography permits are not issued on weekends, due to existing functions booked through the banquet facility. Limited openings for weekend use of the mansion terrace for photography may be available. Contracts do not guarantee exclusive use of the park. Be prepared to work around other park visitors during your session.
Fees
Group Photography contract sessions are booked in 90-minute intervals with a maximum two consecutive blocks (3 hour maximum) permitted.
- 2026 Standard per session $103.40
- 2026 Commercial/Non-resident per session: $144.70
Fees are subject to applicable HST taxes.
For commercial photography or filming, separate applications and permits may be required under the City’s commercial filming and photography policy.
Insurance and Requirements
All contract holders must have current liability insurance to rent space in any City of Burlington facility or park.
When booking online, there will be an automatic charge of $4 per hour for insurance.
If you prefer to submit your own insurance certificate, please complete the rental request form. A staff member will then reserve your space, if available, and upload your insurance documentation to your account. When providing your own insurance certificate, The Corporation of the City of Burlington, 426 Brant Street, Burlington, ON L7R 3Z6 must be listed as the Additional Insured.
Rainout and Cancellation Policy
If weather prevents your session due to a rainout, contact Customer Support within two business days after the contract date to reschedule or request a refund.
When Environment Canada issues a weather alert, advisory or watch, facility renters can proactively cancel or reschedule their booking without penalty. If you wish to proactively cancel your rental due to weather, email at least two hours prior to rental start time. You will be contacted by email the next business day to confirm adjustments to your facility rental contract.

- Photography bookings do not provide exclusive access. Park visitors may still be present during your session.
