The City of Burlington approved a Master Plan review for Lowville Park. The Lowville Park Master Plan is a framework for site enhancements to allow for both organized and self-guided activities in the park. The master plan is the result of extensive public engagement.

This initiative is part of the Council-approved Parks, Recreation and Cultural Assets Master Plan. This is a city-wide study that created a long-term strategic vision for specific parks, recreation and culture initiatives. The plan started in 2009 and will run until 2028.
Upcoming Construction – Summer 2022
Display panels including a map of park trails and facilities, park history, and nature interpretive information will be installed. These will be mounted at the Information Signage Centre.
Site Enhancements Completed So Far
- Picnic areas – renewal of Picnic Areas 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 with improved accessibility
- Parking lot renewal with new asphalt surface with improved drainage, maintain parking spaces, enhance the entrance area with additional trees and plants
- New information signage centre
- Pathway – renewal of gravel pathway to concrete accessible surface

Parking Reservations
The online reservation system is now available at Lowville Park. If you are visiting Lowville Park from May 21 until Oct. 10, 2022, please make a reservation. Reservations are needed on weekends between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and weekdays between 4 and 8 p.m.
As you enter the parking lot, please stop on the line so that the camera can take a clear scan of your license plate, which opens the gate to let you in. Enjoy your visit!
Before you visit Lowville Park in the Summer and early Fall, please make an online reservation using Park Pass. Reservations are free and available in three-hour time slots.
You can book a three-hour reservation:
Weekdays between 4 and 8 p.m.
Weekends between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
You may book one spot per day since there are a limited number of parking spots available. This will help allow others the chance to enjoy the park.
Here's how it works:
- One vehicle per reservation.
- If you are walking or biking into the park, you don’t need a reservation
- Visits are three hours long.
Come and go during your scheduled time. - You will get an access code so you can enter the park at the automated entrance gates
- Be sure to park in a designated parking spot.
All other areas are strictly enforced tow away zones. Violators will be tagged and towed.
Please be aware:
- Vehicles parked in the lot exceeding the 3-hour limit will be tagged.
- Changes/cancellations can be made up to 48 hours before your arrival time, You can change date, name, license plate and number of people.
- Late grace period: we understand unexpected things happen. It’s ok to be a few minutes late.
