The City of Burlington is committed to ensuring compliance with the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act (PSSDA).
The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 of each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year as reported on their Canada Revenue Agency T4 slip.
The PSSDA was first introduced in 1996 with the earning threshold of $100,000 and has never been amended or adjusted for the rate of inflation.
