Court interpreters are available with Halton Court Services (HCS) upon request. You may request and interpreter for early resolution meetings and trial requests. If you need an interpreter, please follow the steps below.
Please note that it is an offence to make a false statement regarding your need for an interpreter.
Interpreters for early resolution meetings
Please fill out Option 2 (Early resolution - meeting with the prosecutor) on the back of your ticket and indicate the language you need. Submit your completed ticket either by mail or in-person at our provincial offences court within 30 days of receiving your ticket.
Interpreters for trial requests
Please fill out Option 3 (Trial - dispute the charge) on the back of your ticket, complete a Notice of Intention to Appear Form and indicate the language you need. Submit your completed form along with your offence notice by email at burlingtoncourt@burlington.ca or in-person at our provincial offences court within 30 days of receiving your ticket.
