Appleby Creek Erosion Control Environmental Assessment (EA) Study completed in 2020 identified channel erosion and slope destabilization within the Appleby Creek area from South Service Road to Lake Ontario. The EA recommended erosion reduction strategies to be completed in phases.

In this phase, the City of Burlington will undertake restoration work on Appleby Creek, both upstream and downstream of Spruce Avenue. The project will include bank protection, minor channel realignment, profile corrections to enhance fish habitat, and measures to protect the Spruce Avenue bridge area.
