The renewal of Cavendish Park is now completed.
Cavendish Park is located at 2155 Cavendish Drive. The renewal was guided by the ‘Get Involved Burlington/Your Parks’ survey input that was gathered from local area residents in April 2024. Concept B: Green Open Space was voted the preferred concept.

Project scope
Construction at Cavendish Park will include:
- Removal of the existing ball diamond (backstop, fencing, player benches and infield)
- Installation of new asphalt and concrete surfacing seating area
- Installation of metal shade tables, site furnishings, benches, and stone seating walls.
- Application of painted line games on asphalt
- Regrading and surface drainage improvements and sod placement
- Path surfacing improvements
- New tree plantings
To ensure safety during construction, the ball diamond and a portion of the existing park and recreational trail will be closed and fenced off. The playground area will remain open. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during construction to ensure a safe environment for all.
Project schedule
Construction is expected to begin, weather permitting, in September and last approximately 10 weeks. Please note: The completion date may be affected by weather, or by production and service delays in the construction industry.
