Burlington, Ont.— Aug. 21, 2023 — The City of Burlington public art program is looking for residents’ comments on a sculpture concept for the new Skyway Community Centre. These comments will help the Citizen Jury choose the final artist from the three finalists they selected. Residents can go to getinvolvedburlington.ca/skywaypa until Friday, Sept. 8 to view and comment on the sculpture concepts.
To review the three proposed designs and submit feedback, residents can go to the project page.
The finalists
The three finalists for the Skyway Community Centre sculpture are:
- Artist: Alexander Moyle
Title: Stomata - Artist: Aurora Robson
Title: Company - Artist: Xiaojing Yan
Title: Ephemeral Reverie
Submit Feedback
Once the three proposed artwork concepts have been reviewed, feedback may be submitted on one or all three designs using comment boxes. These comments, along with the technical and design proposals will inform the jury’s final selection.
