Back to SearchThe annual CIBC Run for the Cure will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, in Burlington. To ensure public safety, road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place as outlined below.
Closure times are estimated and may be adjusted at the discretion of police on site.
Streets will re-open as soon as possible after the event. Vehicles parked illegally in the event area will be tagged or towed for emergency services access.
Please note: there is no access along New Street during the closure times. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
Road Closures
Road Closure – 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

New Street will be fully closed from Drury Lane to Walker’s Line
New Street will reopen once the last runner has passed.
Resident Access
Please be prepared for delays and plan accordingly.
For vehicle access during the road closure times, please park on a side street outside of the closure so that you may exit the area and avoid the road closure entirely.

Traffic Supervision
This event has road closures for pedestrian access and vehicle use will be completely restricted and managed under the supervision of the Halton Regional Police Service. Emergency vehicle and personnel access is always maintained during road closures.
Parking Restrictions Posted
Temporary Parking restrictions will be posted to ensure clearance for emergency vehicle access and traffic flow. All parking restrictions will be enforced.
Burlington Transit Delays and Information
Expect detours on Routes: 3 Guelph, 4 Central, and 10 New-Maple.
