
Notice of Passing of Burlington Avenue-Ontario Street Heritage Conservation District By-law Number 08-2026 under Part V, Section 41(1) of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, as amended (the “Ontario Heritage Act”)
IN THE MATTER OF the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter O.18, as amended (the “Ontario Heritage Act”);
AND IN THE MATTER OF the Burlington Avenue-Ontario Street Heritage Conservation District (area shown on attached location map) in the City of Burlington, in the Regional Municipality of Halton, Province of Ontario;
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the City of Burlington passed By-law Number 08-2026 on March 2, 2026, pursuant to Part V, sections 41 (1) and 41.1 (1) of the Ontario Heritage Act.
The purpose and effect of By-law Number 08-2026 is to designate the Burlington Avenue-Ontario Street Heritage Conservation District (area shown on attached location map) and to adopt the Burlington Avenue-Ontario Street Heritage Conservation District Plan in the City of Burlington, in the Regional Municipality of Halton, Province of Ontario.

AND TAKE NOTICE THAT person who objects to By-law Number 08-2026 may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal by submitting a Notice of Appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal and City Clerk within thirty (30) days after the date of publication of this Notice of Passing, which is April 9, 2026. The Notice of Appeal must set out the objection to By-law Number 08-2026, the reasons in support of the objection, and be accompanied by the appropriate fee as required by the Ontario Land Tribunal. This bylaw will come into force on April 10, 2026 if no appeal is received on or before April 9, 2026.
