
In the matter of the Ontario Heritage Act R.S.O. 1990, Chapter O.18 and in the matter of the lands in the City of Burlington known municipally as 518 Brant St., LT 1, PL 111, City of Burlington, Regional Municipality of Halton, PIN 07085-0145 (LT), the City of Burlington Council passed By-law No. 39-2025 on June 17, 2025, which designates the property known municipally as 518 Brant St., under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.O.18, as amended, as a property of cultural heritage value or interest.
On April 11, 2025, the City Clerk received a Notice of Objection to the Notice of Intention to Designate the property. Council considered the objection and decided not to withdraw the Notice of Intention to Designate the property and proceed with the designation.
To appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT):
To appeal the Designation Bylaw for the Property, file a Notice of Appeal with the City Clerk, Office of the City Clerk, Burlington City Hall, 426 Brant St., Burlington, ON L7R 3Z6, clerks@burlington.ca, within 30 days after the date this notice is published on the City’s Public Notices webpage, by Aug. 11, 2025.
