Beginning Monday, May 4, the pedestrian bridge near Folkway Drive will be closed to pedestrian access for landscape construction and asphalt paving around the bridge. The bridge is expected to reopen by May 15. While this reflects the maximum planned closure period, best efforts will be made to reopen the bridge sooner, if possible. The schedule allows for potential delays due to inclement weather.
Project scope
This project includes:
- New footbridge at Folkway Drive
- New sports light fixtures and replacement of selected light poles at ball diamond D1 and D2
- New water service lines and irrigation systems for soccer F1, diamonds D1, D2 and D3
- New asphalt paving at maintenance building

What to expect during construction
- Some areas of the park will be closed during the construction period and will be secured with construction safety fencing.
- The bridge at Folkway Drive will be closed until the new bridge is installed.
- Please do not enter the construction site at any time.
- There may be periodic closures of the park public washrooms.
