The City of Burlington and Halton Region will be continuing improvements in the Bromley Road area in 2024 and 2025. Halton Region will be replacing the existing watermain, wastewater main and services. City work includes the construction of new sidewalk, replacement of existing curb, sidewalk, roadway asphalt, street lighting upgrades on the streets per the location map.

The City of Burlington will be resurfacing and installing new bicycle facilities on Plains Road from Spring Gardens Road to Waterdown Road in 2022. This work will include construction of new bikeways, resurfacing the road, curb and sidewalk replacement, driveway and landscape regrading, and bus pad, street light, and hydro pole relocations and upgrades. Utility relocation to facilitate this project will commence July of 2021.

Construction Schedule• Ongoing to mid-2026Metrolinx Public Engagement
The Burloak Drive Grade Separation is a project to build an underpass to separate vehicle and rail movement.
The underpass will enhance public safety in advance of GO Transit’s planned 15-minute all-day service on the Lakeshore West GO line, which will see up to eight trains crossing Burloak Drive every hour, in addition to regular VIA and freight trains.
The addition of turn lanes, sidewalks, bike lanes and improved connectivity for active modes of travel will also be included in this project.
Construction activities are underway and the project is estimated to be completed by mid-2026.

Rendering of playgroundThe City of Burlington is renewing the playground at Pauline Johnson School (4350 Longmoor Dr., Burlington) in Summer 2023.
