
Burlington, Ont.—May 6, 2026— The City invites residents to a family-friendly celebration of National Public Works Week at the annual Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at its new location, Nelson Park, 4183 New St.
This free event offers an opportunity to explore the wide range of vehicles and equipment used to deliver essential City services. The event will feature large-scale trucks, a Burlington Transit bus, construction equipment, a snowplow simulator and much more.
Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Nelson Park, 4183 New St.
The event is held outdoors, rain or shine. Visitors should dress according to weather conditions. In the event of thunder or lightning, the event will be cancelled, and a notice will be shared on the City’s corporate social media channels.
Admission and parking are free. Parking is limited and visitors are encouraged to carpool or take Burlington Transit.
The City is currently recruiting volunteers for the event to support event operations and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all attendees. Volunteers must be 14+. Apply online at burlington.ca/volunteer.
