The Mayor will be presenting Victoria a Key to the City on:
- Friday, Nov. 21 at Noon (12 p.m.)
- Robert Bateman Community Centre, 5151 New Street, Burlington
Victoria has risen rapidly through the tennis world, making national and international headlines, representing Canada, and Burlington, with true grit, determination, and pure talent. Here are just some of her achievements:
- At just 18 years old, she captured her first WTA Tour title at the 2025 National Bank Open—defeating former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka in the final.
- On her way to that title, she defeated four former Grand-Slam champions—a historic feat for a Canadian woman.
- She reached a career-high singles ranking, making her Canada’s No. 1 female singles player.
This special ceremony is our chance to celebrate her incredible achievements and to show how Burlington supports its rising stars. I encourage everyone—family, friends, neighbours—to come out and bring your team spirit.
