Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) - formerly Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) Hearing

On Oct. 24, 2016, Burlington City Council voted to oppose a revised development proposal for 374 and 380 Martha St. at a special meeting of Council. Revisions to the original proposal included a reduction in height from 28 storeys to 26 storeys and an increase in residential units from 226 to 240.
On Feb. 22, 2017, the OMB hearing regarding this application began. The hearing concluded on July 21, 2017.
On Feb. 13, 2018, the OMB released its decision on the proposal at 374 Martha St., allowing for a 26-storey building at this location.
On March 12, 2018, the City of Burlington filed a Section 43 review request to the Executive Chair of the OMB regarding development applications at 374 and 380 Martha St. The city is asking the Executive Chair to grant the city's review request and to dismiss the appeals related to 374 and 380 Martha St.
