We will reflect on Burlington’s role in World Wars I & II, securing the peace we now enjoy and planting the seeds for our ongoing twin city relationship with Apledoorn and Itabashi. Hear about Burlington’s growing global connections through the work of the City’s Mundialization Committee and recent trips to our sister cities, insights from the Mayor’s recent study tour in Helsinki, and advocacy efforts in Washington, DC.
Through our presentation and panel discussion, we’ll reflect together on Burlington’s place in international relationships yesterday and today, and our ongoing role in fostering peace, partnership, and resilience amid global uncertainty.
